September is an exciting month for us at Dr. SickleCell (DSC), we believe it being Sickle Cell Awareness Month is a unique opportunity to coordinate global, national and local efforts in overcoming sickle cell. 

The theme for this year is tagged "Together We Can", which interprets one word, “Unity”. According to Priscilla Shirer, "Unity does not mean sameness. It means oneness of purpose" and we strongly believe sickle cell advocacy should be approached with unity.
