PARENTAL MODEL FOR RAISING RESPONSIBLE BOY CHILD

DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE SUMMIT
In today’s world, boy children are often forgotten, marginalized, and alienated by both families and society.
This neglect leaves them vulnerable to various forms of violence and exploitation, including forced recruitment into armed groups, terrorism, banditry, criminal activities, drug addiction, street hawking, hazardous labor, sexual exploitation, and even organ trafficking.

This summit emphasizes the urgent need to protect boys from these dangers and to ensure their safety, development, and empowerment. By doing so, we enable them to grow into valuable, contributing members of society.

The boy child neglected today may become the boy who disrupts societal peace tomorrow. He could become a victim or perpetrator of crime, threatening the stability and safety of communities.

To achieve the United Nations' peace agenda, we must act with intention, patience, and persistence in raising responsible and empowered boys.
By investing in boys today, we can build a future where they become responsible leaders and peace ambassadors. Their development is essential for creating a world free from crime, violence, and instability. Positive mentorship and role models can inspire them to reach their full potential and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Let us commit to this cause.

Together, we can nurture the boy child into a beacon of hope and positive change.

7. Family Participation: Parents and guardians can participate by sharing photos and videos that will make positive impacts in the life of the boy engaged in enjoyable activities, such as helps celebrate the existence and value of boys and promotes positive family good values interactions. Parents and guardians should value taking care of their boys to become useful men to the society, for better society.
8. Religious Groups: Instilling good morals in boys for their spiritual and all-round development
9. Educational Workshops: Hosting sessions focused on personal development, emotional intelligence, and resilience building.
10. Community Outreach: Initiatives to engage communities in supporting boys' well-being through mentorship programs and recreational activities. Establishing community centers and support networks that offer recreational activities, counseling services, and mentorship opportunities, including scholarships to enhance the boys' educational well-being.
11. Governments: Various levels of our governments should be concerned about how to raise the hopeless boy to become useful men, by award of scholarship for their education, organizing skill acquisition programs for the boys, and supporting organizations that are engaged in raising the boy child.

12. Companies and organizations: Companies and organizations as a give back to their communities should organize programs to help the homeless boy child, including supporting organizations that are engaged in raising the boy child.

KEY ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED

1. Violence and Exploitation: Boys frequently face violence both at home and in broader society, including forced recruitment into armed groups and exploitation in dangerous work environments. Ensuring their safety requires concerted efforts to identify and dismantle these harmful practices.
2. Mental and Physical Well-being: Adequate attention, care, guidance, and support are vital for boys' development to prevent vices such as alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual abuse, smoking, robbery, and violence. Promoting mental health awareness and providing access to healthcare services are essential steps in fostering their overall well-being.
3. Strengthening legal protections: Ensures that boys' rights are upheld and that they have a safe environment to grow and thrive.
4. Education and Opportunities: Ensuring access to quality education and vocational training for boys is essential for their future success. Education empowers boys with the knowledge and skills they need to pursue meaningful careers and contribute positively to society.
5. Positive Role Models and Mentorship: Engage role models to inspire and guide boys, teaching them values such as respect, responsibility, and integrity. Develop mentorship programs to support boys’ emotional, educational, and professional growth.

6. Educational Programs: Promoting programs that teach boys about non-violent conflict resolution, respect for others, and the value of human life. Helping boys secure education as a security for their development. These programs aim to cultivate empathy, self-discipline, and social responsibility, laying the groundwork for a more peaceful and inclusive society.
7. International Collaboration: Fostering partnerships between countries, international organizations, and NGOs to share best practices and coordinate efforts in advancing the well-being of boys globally. Collaborative efforts can lead to more comprehensive and impactful solutions.

With this Summit we can engage parents, guardians and stakeholders to work towards a society where hopeless boys are raised to become men of valour through enlightenment, love, values, respect for each other, and a commitment to a crime-free society, for a better society.
