In 2013, the Lord instructed members of the Youth and Children Department of the Christian Guidance and Counselling Ministry, located at Aare Alasa, Oloko, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, to embark on a one-week prayer and fasting. This led to the birth of a programme titled "Festival of Fire." What began that year has grown into an annual event held every August. Since its inception, the programme has witnessed steady and continuous growth in participation.
