The first-of-its-kind Abeokuta Innovation & Tech Party (AITP) themed "Innovation Knows No Bounds" is scheduled to hold on 26th and 27th of May 2023 at the Ogun State Technology Hub in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The AITP is a two-day event co-organized by GetFundedAfrica & the Ogun State Government and highlights the significance of the city of Abeokuta, as Africa's new technology hub-spot.?

Day 1

Day 1 of the event will feature an opening ceremony by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince 'Dapo Abiodun (MFR). The Opening ceremony will include a plaque unveiling and the dedication of the "Olatomiwa Williams Hall" in the Ogun State Tech Hub in honor of Mrs. Olatomiwa Williams, who is the first female Country Manager for Microsoft in West Africa.

Microsoft is an American technology company & is one of the largest companies in the world with revenues of US$198billion (2022) and over 200,000 employees worldwide.

The Ogun Tech Hub sits in the city of Abeokuta, a city of 500,000 people, and is the capital of Ogun State. Ogun State is Nigeria's largest manufacturing hub and houses the largest number of tertiary institutions in Nigeria (twenty-six). The State shares a boundary with Lagos State, Nigeria's largest financial center.

It is important to note, that Abeokuta is the home city of Mrs. Olatomiwa Williams.

After the opening ceremony, attendees will get the chance to listen to an interactive session in a one-on-one panel discussion with Mrs. Olatomiwa Williams and her contributions to the development of technology in Africa.
