Osun Emerging Leaders Summit to Be Hosted by The Nigerian Youth Parliament (Osun State Representatives) in Commemoration of the 2023 International Youth Day

The Nigerian Youth Parliament (Osun State Representatives) will host the Osun Emerging Leaders Summit and Awards on August 12, 2023, in commemoration of the 2023 International Youth Day.

The summit will bring together young leaders from across Osun State to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing youth in the state. The summit will also feature a series of speaking sessions and panel discussions on topics such as entrepreneurship, leadership, and civic engagement.

The awards ceremony will recognize young people who have made significant contributions to the state in the areas of public management, education, technology, social justice, and entrepreneurship.

The summit and award ceremony are part of the Nigerian Youth Parliament’s (NYP) ongoing efforts to empower young people and to promote youth participation in governance.

“The NYP is committed to creating opportunities for young people to lead and to make a difference in their communities,” said Medayese Fagbowore, Osun East Representative. “The Osun Emerging Leaders Summit and Awards is a chance to celebrate the achievements of young people in Osun State and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”

“We are excited to host this event as the convergence of young leaders in Osun State,” said Babawale Popoola, Osun Central Representative. “It’s no more news that inclusion of young people in the leadership space of Osun and Nigeria is the right definition for democracy, and we want to provide them with a platform to share ideas, develop capacities, network and make positive impacts.”

The event will be held at the ADOLAK Event Centre, Osogbo, from 10:00am. Registration is free and open to all young people in Osun State.
