The organizers of the first-ever Bariga community-based photography tagged: My Bariga My Pride has announced the 25th October- 27th October 2019 as the days for the epoch-making event billed to hold in the very heart of Bariga.
The festivals will be parading world-class rated photographers presenting their works chronicling landmark areas within the ancient town of Bariga kingdom.
During the festival, graduands from the prestigious Bariga Photo School both adult and children respectively in their categories will get an opportunity to compete amongst others for the slot of the winner whose works would be rated on real interpretation, direction, quality and other consideration which will be supervised by UN's representatives and seasoned professional camera handlers.
Speaking on the October event, the curator of the festival says, “ We are redefining the photo space, and taking it from the roots where I come from is deemed most appropriate. Aside from the aesthetic sense of seeing array of pictures across the length and breadth of Bariga, we would be showing our attendants some uniquely crafted designs of Barigans. The Photo festival is not just about the pictures, it is targeted at selling our dear Bariga to the world”
Bariga Photo Festival will includes: Photo graffiti on water, Boat ride at the famous lagoon front, photo walk to selected areas, an exhibition, a grand opener and memorable closing.
