The Sickle Cell Awareness Month should be viewed as a unique opportunity to coordinate global, national and local efforts in overcoming sickle cell. The "Together We Can" campaign interprets “Unity”. According to Priscilla Shirer, "Unity does not mean sameness. It means oneness of purpose" and we strongly believe sickle cell advocacy should be approached with unity.
