Ruby Ross is the Founder of CHC AGRITECH AFRICA, a start-up that builds rural communities through capacity building knowledge on organic sustainable agriculture and environmental care for smallholder farmers across Africa starting in Nigeria. She has a degree in Business Management, studied economics and was trained by her mentors on Agroecology, nutritional immunology and community development. She started her career as a youth leader at the age of 17 involving in many youth programs by International Labour Organization and other NGOs as well as Government institutions in her home country, Philippines.
Her 10-year experience as a public servant in the State government office in the Philippines exposed her to many community development works in various sectors - women and youth empowerments, infrastructure development, water and power systems, livelihood programs for people with disabilities and indigenous people, migrant workers, health workers and rural small holder farmers in recent times.
Ruby Ross has pioneered the Microbiome Technology in Nigeria and has been instrumental in training thousands of farmers who have improved and increased their productivity with the innovations and trainings her company CHC AGRITECH AFRICA has provided. They have reached out to over 10,000 farmers in the southeast of the country and hope to reach 2 million smallholder farmers over the next five years through training at demonstrations, farm visits and community involvement.
She has great commitment and passion for achieving global growth goals for sustainable development in communities of smallholder farmers and women entrepreneurs.
