The Nigerian Red Cross Society, University of Port Harcourt Detachment, is a voluntary humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting health, safety, and emergency preparedness within the university community. Affiliated with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the Detachment engages in first aid services, disaster response, health education, and campus-wide outreach programs.

As part of its commitment to safety and community service, the Detachment is organizing a 3-day Emergency Skills and First Aid Training. This free training is designed to equip participants with essential life-saving techniques, including CPR, bleeding control, wound care, and fire prevention.
