DESCRIPTION

The Mjanga AI Challenge is a Pan-African hackathon dedicated to one goal: Solving local problems with continental solutions. Running from March 09 – 21, 2026, this challenge invites innovators from across Africa to build scalable AI prototypes. With a total prize pool of $850 USD (Approx. 3,000,000 UGX), teams of 2-5 members compete across 8 specialized tracks to drive Africa’s technological transformation.
