It is our 10th Anniversary at Stand With A Girl Initiative (SWAG).

Since 2016, SWAG has reached more than two million people across rural communities and urban informal settlements. These include adolescent girls, parents, teachers, religious and traditional leaders, policy makers, and community members whose daily decisions shape the futures of girls.

Across thirteen states, including the Federal Capital Territory, and within humanitarian settings, the commitment has remained clear and consistent. The underserved must never be left behind.

Two million and counting is more than a statistic. Behind every number is a name. A girl who returned to the classroom. A parent who began a different conversation. A community that chose a new path. A life redirected with dignity and hope.

This month, we will launch our Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2030. The plan presents a clear and focused roadmap for advancing the empowerment, protection, and holistic development of adolescent girls and young women across Nigeria over the next five years.

Building on a decade of experience, this strategy reflects a deliberate shift from rapid programme expansion towards deeper and more sustainable impact. The focus moves towards strengthening systems, building meaningful partnerships, and ensuring organisational sustainability, while remaining firmly rooted in a girl centred and rights based mandate.
