TechUp Boys is powered by LEARNTOR Foundation: From YES to Tech: No to Crime, Raising the Digitally Transformed African Boy to be Data Analyst
TechUp Boys is a purpose-driven, youth-focused initiative by the LEARNTOR Foundation, designed to empower the boy-child in underserved Nigerian communities through digital skills as Data Analyst, confidence building, and identity restoration.
With over 53% youth unemployment in Nigeria and 72% of male graduates lacking digital skills, boys are becoming increasingly vulnerable to cybercrime, cultism, and mental health crises. TechUp Boys is standing in the gap to say:
YES to Tech: No to Crime.
Our Mission
To digitally transform 50,000 Nigerian boys by 2025, equipping them with:
• Tech Skills: Data Analytics, Excel, Power BI, Google Workspace
• Soft Skills: Emotional intelligence, communication, leadership
• Mentorship: Weekly check-ins, career guidance, mindset renewal
• Nation-Building Vision: Helping boys become Africa’s next innovators, not offenders
The Problem
• Cybercrime offenders are now as young as 15–17 years old
• Many boys are losing identity and purpose before adulthood
• They are forgotten in development agendas and under-represented in empowerment programs
The Movement
TechUp Boys is not just a training. It’s a movement of digitally transformed African boys who are:
• Saying YES to Tech: No to Crime
• Choosing Tech Over Tricks, Data Over Danger
• Becoming leaders, not liabilities
What We Believe
“Boys don’t need punishment. They need purpose. They don’t need pity. They need platforms.”
Join the Movement
We invite:
• Mentors: Guide 1–3 boys weekly and build their confidence
• Donors & Sponsors: Support boys or sponsor a school
