Climate Actors Accelerator Programme (CAAP) 2025

The Climate Actors Accelerator Programme (CAAP) is a dynamic and transformative initiative designed to empower young climate leaders, innovators, and changemakers in the fight against the global climate crisis. Targeting individuals aged 18 to 35, CAAP offers a holistic learning and innovation experience that equips young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to develop and implement scalable and impactful climate solutions. Through an immersive and hands-on approach, CAAP integrates advanced training, bootcamps, environmental campaigns, clean-up efforts, tree-planting activities, ecological tours, and innovation process - all designed to foster climate leadership, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development. The programme nurtures emerging climate champions to design and implement bold, regenerative strategies that protect the planet, restore ecosystems, and accelerate the transition towards a more resilient and sustainable future. Key focus areas include climate change mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity conservation, pollution and waste management, responsible production and consumption, renewable energy, and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. As a strategic intervention, CAAP plays a vital role in strengthening Nigeria’s response to the climate crisis by equipping climate actors with the necessary tools and support to scale their efforts, drive meaningful change, and build a climate-resilient future.
